Gulmohar (गुलमोहर) scientific name Delonix regia, the flame tree.

Gulmohar is a blooming tree in Vaishakha. This tree preserves green leaves for more than other trees even when it is not very large.

Gulmohar day celebration may be conducted firstly at Satara city (Maharashtra, India) in the world. This Gulmohar Day celebrate since 1999 at Satara.

1st May day is celebrated as 'Gulmohar Day' at Satara, is probably the first city in the world which celebrates this day. The day is celebrated in Satara since 1999.

In May, there is a blooming tree in Gulmohar. The tree is full of red-sweet flowers.

Sagar Gaikwad and P. V. Taru from Satara first proposed this idea.

Every year on 1 May art collectors gather together and describe Gulmohar in their own way.

The painter draws pictures of Gulmohar, the poet poems on Gulmohar, the photographer exhibits the photos of Gulmohar, who is locked in camera.

Various programs such as tree plantation, physical design, painting, poetry reading, kathak dance, classical singing were made on this day.

Consider nature in our development.

Nature has supreme power on earth. No one till able to win nature,  Its judgment is equal to all.

Though we fight among each other we are not able to fight against nature at any level.

Our Earth is covered by amazing nature. As we know nature provides us food, shelter, cloths, we totally helpless before nature. So we have to listen it what he is saying on time to time. Though we are in technical edge, we are not possible to create even water, food, petrol even oxygen of our own without nature.

From micro creatures to macro, human beings, mountains, rivers, trees, sea, dessert all are equal judge by nature’s law. No one is big or small, poor or reach infront of nature.

As we developing faster we are going away from nature, but nature don’t allow us to go far away from him. Nature has supreme power of interrupt our fastest development  if it occur by destroying him. Nature never let us to destroy it for our development. We have to consider nature while our development. Nature will help us as usual in development of human being.

We have to also consider that nature not only provides us a chance of development but also developing itself that’s why we have to take notice during our development about nature.

शाळेतील शोषखड्डाविषयाची फिल्म पाहून सार्थकला शोषखड्डा भावला 

त्याने मनोमन शोषखड्डा करण्याचा निर्यण घेतला...

सावखेड येथील इ. 1ली मध्ये शिकणारा सार्थक जाधवने शोषखड्ड्यासाठी वडिलांच्याकडे हट्ट धरला एवढेच नव्हेतर चक्क उपोषणही केले.

आपल्या गुरुजींच्या मदतीने शोषखड्ड्यासाठी आखणी केली. तसेच छोट्या भावंडाच्या मदतीने शोषखड्डासाठीचा खड्डा रपारपा पूर्णही केला.

छोट्या सार्थकची ही कामगिरी पाहून गावातील इतर लहान मुलांनी  प्रेरणा घेतली तसेच ग्रामस्थही वचनपुर्तीसाठी सरसावले...

अजिंक्याताराचे लढवय्ये : किल्लेदार प्रयागजी आणि मावळे

औरंगजेबाशी कडवी झुंज देणारे अजिंक्यताराचे किल्लेदार प्रयागजी आणि तत्कालीन कामी आलेले सर्व मावळे..

मराठ्यांची राजधानी सातारा..... काबीज करण्यासाठी औरंगजेबाने सातारच्या किल्ल्यावर स्वारी केली. त्यावेळी किल्ल्याचे किल्लेदार प्रयागजी अनंत फणसे हे होते. या लढाईत त्यांनी पराक्रमाची शर्थ केली. औरंगजेबास मराठ्यांची राजधानी सातारा सहज काबीज करु असा फाजील आत्मविश्वास होता. पण प्रयागजी आणि त्यांचे मावळे यांनी त्याला चांगलेच जेरीस आणले होते. औरंगजेबास त्यांनी सातारचे पाणी काय असते हे चांगलेच दाखवले होते.


विशेष म्हणजे जेव्हा मंगळाईचा बुरुज उडाला तेव्हा औरंगजेबाची मती गुंग झाली होती. त्याला 10-15 दिवस त्या धक्क्यातून सावरायला लागले होते.

औरंगजेबाच्या अवाढव्या सैन्यापुढे न डगमगता प्रयागजी यांनी किल्ला जवळजवळ 3/4 महिने शर्थीने लढवला.

मंगळाईचा बुरुज उडाल्यानंतर अजिंक्याताराच्या मागील बाजूस किल्ल्यावरुन खाली आलेले मोठ मोठे खडक आजही इतिहासाची साक्ष देतात.

अजिंक्यातारा सातारा येथे झालेल्या घनघोर युद्धाचे ना. स. इनामदार यांनी `शहेनशहा`या कादंबरीत केलेले वर्णन रोमांचीत आहे. ते वाचून सातारकरांची छाती अभिमानाने भरुन येते
